About Us
Founded in 1989, Internews is a leading importer and distributor of foreign publications in Poland. The company began by distributing 200 copies of Western publications in Warsaw’s book-stores. Initial development was then focused within the press industry with a growing number of clients, on both the wholesale and retail side. This growing client list allowed Internews to widen the range of titles in the company’s portfolio. Now Internews offers over 1500 publications from all interest areas. We are the direct importer of over 70% of foreign titles available on the Polish market. The publications we offer are from, amongst others, the USA, France, Germany, Italy, Russia and Spain.
The key strengths of Internews are undoubtedly a solid position on the press distribution market and a wide assortment of publication titles on offer. All our clients can therefore have the feeling that by working with ‘Internews’ they are indeed in the ‘Largest Press Stand in the World.’
The quality of our services and professionalism have been recognised. This is confirmed by the fact that we were the first company from Eastern Europe to be accepted into the International Association of Press Distributors „DISTRIPRESS”.
Innovation has also always been at the forefront of our minds. As early as 1990 we launched the Foreign Language Press Subscription Service. Now our service has over 3000 clients (both individuals and private firms) who order their favourite foreign publications with us.
We invite those interested in foreign literature to our books section, where you can chose the book titles which interest you from some of the world’s largest publishers such as Random House International Group, Penguin Group, MacMillan, Blomsbury, Hodder & Stoughton, Orion, Canongate, Osprey Publishing, Pen&Sword, Casamate Group as well as many academic publishers.
In an attempt to ensure that readers have the quickest possible access to the information they require we launched our Press-on-Demand service, in co-operation with the Canadian company NewspaperDirect. This service allows us to print foreign newspapers on demand. Using the latest digital print technology, Internews was the first company in Central and Eastern Europe to offer over 500 newspaper titles from around the world available in Poland just a few minutes after an edition is closed.
Each day we ensure we set ourselves new challenges to ever-improve the service we offer to our clients. We believe that every client deserves the greatest amount of personal attention and we do our upmost to ensure that we offer the highest level of customer service, irrespective of the size of the client or order.
